Midwest Central -- V3 Beta 2

Midwest Central - Release 3 Beta2 - October 2008

Midwest Central is a fictional short line operating through the busy heartland of the United States. An update to both the original MidCen route and Release 2, Release 3 adds the final 15 miles to the city of Westfield, where MidCen has an interchange with Union Pacific. The east-to-west double track mainline is 50 miles, about a 70-minute run at track speed, and features tracking cameras throughout.

Release 3 spans over 200 baseboards, with more than 40 industries, now including limestone, bauxite, building materials and an automobile plant. Amtrak passenger service is handled through six stations. New for Release 3 Beta1 are Midwest Central auto-numbering GP38-2's, Majekear's auto-numbering open hoppers, and configuable auto carriers.

Beta2 fixes several important bugs and comes with the following sessions:

A Base Session for designing your own scenarios using the MidCen map
Monday Morning Rail, a passenger session
West Local Part 1, a freight session
West Local Part 2, a freight session
MidCen Dispatcher 1, a free-form freight session
MidCen Dispatcher 2, a free-form freight session

Find these sessions, MidCen rolling stock and other Midwest Central content by searching for my userid: crb001. CAUTION: If you download Midwest Central operating sessions, make sure they are specific to MidCen Release 3 Beta 2. Sessions created for the original map, MidCen Build 360, and for MidCen Release 2 will not work with this map, and vice versa.

Before operating Midwest Central, do yourself a favor and visit the MidCen website, where you'll find a wealth of information about the route, including a system map, operations manual, missing dependencies and the latest bug fix information. In addition, you'll find printable Form 19 train orders for the operating sessions. http://trains.0catch.com.

I suggest you download at least the system map, so you can use the milepost system to locate the towns and industries along the line.
