On December 3, 1981, preserved Stirling Single No. 1's firebox was lit for the first time since 1938. Two days later, she hauled light passenger trains for the first time on the Great Central Railway. This consist replicates her first train she pulled on the GCR.

a BR MK1 SO,
and a BR MK1 CCT van.
