CLMW F7A

Produced between February 1949 and December 1953, the Electro-Motive Division F7 is a 1,500 horsepower diesel-electric road locomotive. With over 3,800 units sold, it was the most popular of EMD's F-series. First purchased in 1949 by the Cleveland, Lorain and Midwestern, the EMD cab units would serve as primary road power for the line. The locomotives would serve well, and the CLMW would eventually roster sixty of the classic EMDs alongside their SW7 switchers and FA-1 passenger power.
