CLMW MoW Tanker

Faced with the issue of not having enough B-units to provide additional water capacity for steam generators, the Cleveland, Lorain and Midwestern converted several tank cars to carry water for the generators, a cheaper solution than buying the FP7 or FPA-2. When long distance trains ended in 1971 when Amtrak was formed, CLMW water tankers found themselves in MoW service, where they are found today.
