Norris 4-2-0 Tender B&O

Tender for Norris 4-2-0. Information regarding the original Norris tenders (and indeed, information on any tender of the era) is scarce. When building their replica in 1927, the Baltimore & Ohio appeared to refer to later Norris products, as the extensions above the cistern were sloped at a rakish angle. However, based on the model built by the Norris Company in 1842 for King Louis Phillipe of France, it appears these components were straight when the 4-2-0s were in production.

The dimensions for this tender are rough estimates based on dimensions from Baldwin catalogs and the 1927 Lafayette replica, while details of construction were derived from the Louis Phillipe model.
