QR 1600 Class.

18 of these locos were built and the first, 1604, delivered in December 1962.
They were used for suburban passenger and light freight services around SE Queensland
and the central west. They were predominately branch line-locos with a 60t rating.
1604 is preserved in working order in the Rosewood Railway Museum.
