NCTD Coaster F40PHM-2C #2103

North County Transit District has operated the COAST Express Rail, a.k.a. the Coaster, between Oceanside and San Diego since 1995. Since the beginning, NCTD used five F40PHM-2C diesels built by MK Rail (now Motive Power Industries) from Electro-Motive parts. In 2020 they were replaced by five new Siemens SC-44 Chargers. The five F40s were donated to the Pacific Southwest Railway Museum in Campo, California and so far #2103 has been moved there.

Sounds: EMD 16-cylinder 645E3C two-stroke turbocharged engine, Nathan K5LA five-chime airhorn and pnuematic EMD-type steel cast bell

Version 3 update: Fixed color of radiator and dynamic brake fans, ditch/marker lights and some grab irons, added e-strobe light graphic to cab roof, and fixed category-era to be 1990s and later.
Version 4 update: Improved the nose graphics to a more prototypical arrangement.
