Acme Terminal

Acme Terminal

This small switching route is based on the Atlas Terminal railroad, which for many decades served customers in the Glendale neighborhood of Queens, New York, USA. The Long Island Railroad interchanged with the prototype Atlas Terminal in addition to serving other online customers in the area, so some of the LIRR mainline and spurs are represented in this route to provide additional operating and visual interest. The route is loosely set in the mid-20th Century. Sharp curves and tight clearances prevail on the Acme Terminal, so use small switching engines and cars under 50 feet in length.
